Celebrating the Return of the Great Yarmouth Arts Festival: Carnival, Creatives, and Community

The Great Yarmouth Arts Festival is to celebrate its twelfth year running, bringing eight fun-packed days to the town from Friday 13th to Saturday 21st September. Spanning from the Great Yarmouth Minister to the Seafront, see what this year’s festival has to offer with its vibrant, dynamic lineup. We invite you to jazz up your afternoon and support local music, performances, art, heritage, and the fondly acclaimed carnival procession.

Within the first few days, expect a grand opening and various musical acts by day, and a busker’s competition at The Empire Venue by night. The Minister will continue to hold visual art exhibitions, whilst St. George’s Theatre is to host diverse performances, ranging from musical recitals to comedy acts. Heritage walks, open studios, and a history fair will be open to the public for those to engage interactively with the community and learn more about arts and local heritage.

Additionally, look out for the East Coast Sinfonietta, the beloved orchestra bringing live music to Great Yarmouth.

Finally, the carnival procession is set to take place on Saturday the 21st of September from noon to 2 P.M., traversing across St. George’s Park and the Marketplace. Keep your eyes peeled for the steel band and dance acts and partake in the overall commemoration of Great Yarmouth’s talent.

Young and old, far and wide – with your participation, we can make this a week to remember. Fasten your feathers, get your drumsticks ready, and pencil in the date for the 2024 Great Yarmouth Arts Festival!
