Social Media Assistant

Great Yarmouth Arts Festival is looking for a volunteer Social Media Assistant to join the Marketing Team.

 

About Great Yarmouth Arts Festival

We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) which is run by its committee and overseen by our Board of Trustees (Directors). The company was founded in September 2011 to help raise money for the St. Nicholas Preservation Trust (Now the Great Yarmouth Minister Preservation Trust.

 

About the Role

Our Social Media Assistant role was formed to help our two social media Leads with promoting our festival digitally on social media platforms such as Facebook, X, and Instagram as well as looking to expand to platforms such as TikTok and Pinterest to further promote the festival.

 

The successful person will also be asked to help with the following (when they can):

– Creating basic-level reports on our social media analytics.

– Creating draft press releases which are for promoting the festival and our events.

– Helping with publishing new “posts” on our website.

– Replying to messages/comments on our social media platforms in a professional manner.

 

Personal Requirements for the Role

As this role is voluntary, there are no set requirements other than being committed and being willing to learn new skills and develop your current ones.

 

Technical Requirements for the Role

To be able to do this role we have a few low-level requirements regarding technology, see them below:

– A PC with Windows 10 or 11 or a Mac with macOS Catalina (2019) or later.

– Internet access

You will also need access to the Microsoft Office suite and Canva Pro, even if you have licenses for these, we do ask for Canva that you use our one, as we do not want our media being put on personal accounts.
